Replacing P/S pump gaskets.

I will be doing the pump rebuild for 1995 E420 this weekend. Anybody out there can give some pointers/tips for this rebuilt job.

thanks

A few of us have done this on our cars. I did mine late last year, except for getting the ring clamp off the impeller shaft, and pounding out the fossilized front pump seal, I found it to be pretty straightforward.

See the following:

Try to find a clean room when you do take it apart, and put everything on a big, clean, white plastic sheet. Rinse everything with clean P/S fluid before you put it back together. Be anal about making sure the parts in the pump are lint-free.
