1987 MB 300 DT a/c issue
 

My 1987 300DT a/c was working great. Icy cold air, daughter drove car and next day a/c only blows hot air. Any idea of the problem?

Does the AC blow cold when the engine isn't warmed up, and after it's warmed up the hot air "overpowers" the cold? If so, the auxiliary water pump is shot. It's located under the windshield washer bottle. I had this exact problem, and a good used auxiliary water pump solved it...

No, it does not start out cold just all hot air. I am wondering if somehow the thermometer is stuck on hot?
