fog lamps on an SLK230 won`t turn off
 

I need help just got a 1999 SLK230 shiped to me went to pick it up battery was dead shipping guy said fog lamp would not cut off. had to jump it off bad scene, anyway the fog lamps and back tail lights stay on won`t shut down also the when press the power locks the lights blink but the locks don`t move tryed the central locking thing with the key in pos#2 and pressing button for 5 seconds but nothing. sure could use help if you know thanks.

Hi Jordy I would look in the lower trunk floor area under spare tire for any signs of water or rust stains.It sounds like water got into the PSE pump and wiring shorting it out! It sits low in trunk that would cause the lamps and locks to do what they are doing. Good Luck! Tim

Hi jordy Glad to help! If you just purchased that SL320 either it was left with the top down,or the transport co.left the window down as I always see them doing to make it easier to get into vehicle.Make sure you empty that trunk and clean all connectors with terminal cleaner, or you will be buying a harness.
