The cruise control uses the brake lights filaments for a ground. When you step on the brakes, the 12 volts to light the lights makes the ground "go away" and the cruise control disengages. The LEDs may not show a ground to the CC the same way filament lamps do, unless that function is engineered into the new circuit.

Looks nifty, if you get them let me know how they workout! I have been looking for shop who can redo mines to retrofit customs LED's.

The LED bulbs are worthless, I purchased them in the past. Not even bright, you get that single "dot" of light. When you step on the break, it looks like the parking lamps. For the turn single it's more of a head ache, you need a conversion because the LED draws less power so the system thinks the bulb is blown so you get the fast blinker. For the side maker though, mines is okay so far.

Well the picts I posted were of prefab boards that you can just buy and install. That’s all well and good, but I want to make my own. I'll prolly go off the deep end and double the number of LEDS. If and when I ever get it done, you can bet I'll post picts.

EDIT: btw, those boards you saw are from a site called LEDCar. I am in no way affiliated with them, he just happens to be the only guy around doing that…well at least that I know of.
