Thanks, but I don't really deserve the credit because Larry nailed it in post #2 that the belt was slipping. He just didn't come straight out and say it was the tensioner until post #12.
These tensioners don't last all that long and usually the first symptom is the A/C kicking off intermittently. Again, if you need a good shop, Try MBS in Duluth, GA. They are a great bunch of guys and sometimes Hans will drive one of his antique Mercedes to the shop which gives us something REALLY cool to look at!

I did indeed indicate in my first post that you should see that the belt is tensioned properly. I just assumed that if you were going to check belt tension that it would be obvious to check the belt tensioner.
