retrofitting 1973/450sl seatbelts
Can a 1973 450sl be fitted with the one piece 3 point seatbelt. The original seatbelt calls for 2 steps to buckle up, lap belt first then clip shoulder belt to the lapbelt . Any ideas , thanks

correct me if i'm wrong, but i was under the impression that the SL of that vintage was the first production car to be fitted with inertia reel seatbelts. i will check again in my manual later.

check the year again
My 73 has the 3-point seatbelts. 73 was the first year for major changes to the 107 line. Power windows and 3-speed automatics were the other changes.

Note the car does have the reel seatbelt but the shoulder belt is a clip-on. I prefer buckling up just once.
