Brake lining wear alert..GO AWAY!!!!

OK, replaced the pads on my '98 E300 TD 200 miles ago,the pad alert on the dash disappeared for awhile, now it's back!

Checked everything out, even removed the new sensors {front wheel only} for a few days, no difference.

What's going on here?how do I reset it?

If the sensors are good, it should reset itself. How about the connection where the sensor plugs in, is it loose or corroded? How about the rear sensor?

Thanks for the reply Ali.

I was too impatient, didn't check the rear since the front has been a troublespot on one occasion.

It was the rear! Apparently, impossibly, a stone lodged itself between the tension spring? and the sensor wire, stripping off the insulation and grounding it against the spring, here's a pic below.

I will be more patient next time.
