Here are two electronic brains from a 1995 C36, but what are their respective functions?
One is BOSCH, the other VDO. Check out: http://24.8.188.34/c36/C36-brains.jpg Also, can you please help identify the Mercedes PN# for the following AMG wheel at this URL: http://24.8.188.34/c36/amg2pc17in.jpg http://24.8.188.34/c36/amgback.jpg The numbers are incomplete per the dealer (124 401 040 ??). the VDO "brain" PN# is: 202.545.4332 T/LLR the BOSCH "brain" PN# is: 202.545.95.32 Thanks in advance, :-) neil |
The VDO controller is for EA/CC/ISC (electronic accelerator/cruise control/idle speed control). The Bosch controller is engine management probably HFM-SFI (which stands for Hot-film mass air flow meter/sequential fuel injection). I say probaly because 95 is a tricky year and the ME-SFI has the same looking box. ME usually is associated with OBDII cars and the C class was the first one to be OBDII.
Trying to make an OBDII controller work in a none OBDII car will be daunting. |
