New, Odd Brake Pad Feel
I have a 94 s500 with about 155,000 miles. All of the brake pads were changed about 8K miles ago. Today while driving, braking power felt normal, but I could feel a click when the pedal was pressed down to say 80% of maximum distance. It was as if I could "Feel" the pads squeezing the rotors, and I could hear it also. If I have the car in park, the feeling of the click in my brake pedal does not exist, and I cannot "hear/feel" the calipers squeezing. The car has to be moving, low speed or high. I can hear it and feel it better at red lights just because of lower car noise, etc.....Do I need new rotors?

This is one of those things that is difficult to troubleshoot over the internet. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying that you feel the pads click in the calipers, or do you feel grinding?
It could also be that you are feeling a loose suspension component somewhere such as loose track rod bushings or control arm bushings. Good luck, |

More of a Grinding
It feels like more of a grinding......if the brake pads were loose shouldnt one expect shaky braking, my brakes are still solid. I think I'll just take the front wheels off and have a look....

If it's grinding a pad is probably worn to the metal.
Good luck, |
