What's this curiosity in my service book? Is my car special?

See for yourself

Is that a standard notice?

Cool! Looks to me it might be special, maybe outfitted with bullet resistant glass and armor for the diplomat they sold it to! ha ha.. no really seems like it might have been for some reason that they didn't include maintenace, possibly a rental (unlikley as a Mercedes) or some VIP that drives a lot.

Yes, your car was orginally owned by Yassar Arafat who sold it to Sadem Hussein - so be careful.

Seriously now, that's just like the standard language

used by some other brands (I've no experience with Mercedes) for cars sold on some kind of European delivery plan of a USA spec car through an American dealer, indicating that neither the Germans nor the Americans have to participate in any free service promotions which may be offered at the time for regular USA delivered cars. I suppose that they have the same sort of things within other countries.

Wasn't there a period a few years ago when the English were picking up all their new cars in Ireland or Belgium for some tax reasons?
