my 88 300 e has a weird problem, when i first got the car the blower motor did not work.after ripping out an after market alarm that was wired thru the two front windows, the blower started working wich i can not explain. but now it has quite again. so... before i replace the motor does anyone have another suggestion?? i think it might be a ground problem? any other suggestions would be appreciated. after looking at other posts it does'nt look that hard to change. thank you.

Before you start throwing parts at it, use the wiring diagram and a test light to verify that the motor is indeed getting power and has a good ground. If you do not have the skills to do this, it would be worth paying a professional to troubleshoot. Let us know what you find. Maintenance CD's are available through the Partsshop, and they contain the wiring diagrams, though they are hard to read!
Good Luck! |
