I have a 1995 C280 and I have about 15 bottles of Castrol GTX 20w 50 oil in my garage that was used for a Porsche. I wanted to put this in my car. Is it cleaner performing? What are the benefits of having it vs the regular 10w 30? Cold weather is not really an issue in my area (never gets below 50 most of the time) so I am not worried about that really, but car manual says to use only 10w 30. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Hmmmmmm, Newport Beach huh? For that climate 20W50 will be fine. You'll want to change it when you get to Alaska though.
I think if you dig deeper into the manual, you'll find a chart that will give you weights and their associated temperature range. Good luck, |
THanks Larry. But do you know if it's beneficial in any way for me to use this? Should I even bother? Thanks again.
ps... ever been to newport beach? |
