Unhappy please help!

My 1983 300TD has that old rear end sagging problem. I'm sick of people telling me how complicated it's going to be for a dealer to fix, so I was wondering if it's possible to convert the rear end to a normal coil spring/shock setup. Please help- the rear tires are starting to bow in and I'm scared I'll wake up one morning and see the bumper touching the driveway.

The SLS isn't really that complicated. If you an reasonable DIYer you can replace the accumulators without too much problem. Try doing a search on SLS or accumulator or spheres, that should get you planty of reading to get started. The wagons are basically the same as the sedan with SLS, just the layout is a little different.
