What happened to "MB grill badge" idea?

So? did it happen again? the idea of MBshop grill badges has come up for discussion on this website at least 5 times in the last 5 years and has NEVER come to fruition. Anybody know where we stand? There has got to be at least 120 members waiting in line with money in hand to buy them. Just can't seem to get anyone to step up to the plate to have them made.

I have been a member here since 1999. When I first registered there was less than 1,000 members. Look at it now! I believe there are over 12,000.

The MBshop grill badge idea has been thru the mill numerous times. About 4 years ago, they went as far as to have designs drawn up. About 4 months ago, it came up for discussion and once again, designs and ideas were tossed around with much fanfare. Everyone was gung-ho but, alas, it has lost momentum and is once again, dead.

In a few months, some member will "think up this grand idea" about making MBshop grill badges and once again, everyone will get excited and chime in with their future order of "2 for me. 1 for the diesel and 1 for the gasser", etc.

Mark my words. It will happen.

I think the folks at mercedesshop.com would have to approve...plus everyone seems to have different design ideas...

if someone would sign off on the mercedesshop logo...this would probably gain traction.

everyone seems to want to alter the webpage logo.

Both Benzmac (Donnie Drummonds) and Bill Wood have given their approval for someone to make the grill badges and use the MBshop logo. Heck, the idea got so many members excited last time the idea came up (about 4 months ago) that a MBshop fender protector/cover was being looked into. That idea had plenty of people lining up with greenbacks in hand, but it has lost steam and died as well.

What's up? I thought Randy and a few others were all over production operations.

Whats the hold-up? My grille NEEDS this badge!

Plenty of people have pledged to pay for one, and most want two!

There have been two grill badges produced for the Ponton
owner's group by the people at
http://www.qualitylapelpins.com/
Both badges are excellent and were $32 each. The quantity
produced was only about 200 so no production discount.
The second badge was available as a key fob and a lapel pin.
View them at http://www.mbzponton.org/private/ipogswap.htm

MBshop grill badges were produced?!

How come nobody told anyone? I would have no problem with the $32. Are some still available?

>>MBshop grill badges were produced?!

They weren't MBShop badges, they were IPOG, International
Ponton Owner's Group. www.mbzponton.org
I just mentioned them to show how it might be done.
