Will this transmisson fit in my car and should I buy the transmission computer with it ?

you may not need to change the transmission. all you need is the rebuild. there is a transmission repair kit available. check carefully with the clutch inside. they may be burn. replace them if necessary.

by the way, i am from MALAYSIA. i have a good friend who majorly repair benz and i spend 4-5 hours everyday to see him repair all kind of benz from w201, 202, 124, 210,211, 140 to w220.

i have seen a lot of benz with transmission problems coming to his shop will go out happily. last two days he just rebuild a W140 s500 two doors transmission.

he never replace transmission for client. he will completely take out all transmission internal parts, change all seals, change burn clutch and that all. never fail any client.

i saw him once rebuild a w210 E280 within a day. only cost usd500 parts and labour.

all my car maintain by him and currently own two w124 (300E & 230E), a W140 S320L.

Good luck to you and find someone who really know benz only.

Note: we never change transmission unless for upgrade.

When dealer did test on the transmission they said that it looks like the clutches are burned, they did not take the transmission out.

The price for a used transmission is about $1000-1500, that is why I would prefer to change it as I never rebuit a transmission before and could have more problems than needed.
