How good are the mercedes mannuals and how hard are they to figure out???
thanks |
I have found that most of the information is there if you can figure out the German way of navigation. They are using the group system that has been around for years for PROFESSIONALS. They did not think of the general public using these.
You will have to get used to the nav, other than that, you wil be fine with the CD. |
ok does it show pictures
with this car i have had to learn alot of german ways i am taking german as a class in school cause of this car |
The CD Roms are great! They are full of illustrations, and I do not find them hard to navigate. Danny, with your computer knowledge, (i.e the web page you designed), navigating the CD's will be no trouble. Also, they will show you the special tools required to perform some of this work. and torque values. and what needs to come off. and what doesn't.
Mine have paid for themselves many times over. E mail me if you want more testimonials! I can't say enough good about them. |
I also have found the CD manuals fantastic. Most valuable is that they contain all necessary manuals, including wiring diagrams, engine, A/C, chassis and the owners. A true wealth of information. I also prefer printing pages so I can make notes on the actual wiring diagram. Also very portable.
A convenient hint: make a bookmark in your browser on the page to select the car model/year. You can then use this link to bypass the introduction and disclaimer pages. Use and enjoy. |
Hard copies of MB manuals are getting hard to come by and collectively, are expensive. For example, a reprint of a 103 Engine Manual is about $100.00.
For a few $$$ more, you can get a CD-Rom that has alot more on it than just the engine manual. I happen to have both. In my opinion, the CD-Rom is a DIYERs best choice. Mike Murrell '91 300-SEL |
