95 C280- upgraded part # for OVP

I understand that there is an upgraded OVP relay for my car and I'm trying to find out if my car has the upgraded OVP or not.
The part # of the one currently in the car is 000 540 67 45

relay

the 000-540-67-45 is the most recent number

Thank you, so I guess I can rule out the OVP relay. I'll try checking the coil wires and changing the spark plugs.
Thanks again

ovp

what issues are you having? just because the relay is the newest number doesn't mean it cannot be defective

The car is running extreamly ruff. It was only doing it once in a while, but it has gotten progressively worse. When it first started happening if you shut off the engine for a few minutes, then restarted it, the problem seem to go away.
Lately, even restarting it only works for a few minutes before it starts to start missing again. It also sounds like maybe one of the cyclinders is firing at the wrong time. It's not like a backfire where you hear it coming out of the exhaust. I hear it from the bottom of the motor, if that makes any sence.
My reason for asking about the part# for the OVP relay was another tech had told me that was a very comon problem for this car.
Can the relay be bad without blowing the fuse in the top of it? Cause the fuse is good and it sounds like it's the most recent relay. So from what advice I've gotten off this fourm, the next thing to change would be the wire harness, and the coil to plug wires. Dose this sound right?
Any advice given would be great, as this thing is starting to drive me batty.
I've replaced the plugs, air filter, oil and oil filter. Was planning on doing a tranny filter on it this week, although I don't think that would be related.
The car has 140k, and is a 1995. It was a trade in on a boat, I don't know it they were the orginal owners and I have no records for the car.
I hope that's enough info. good thing there's no word limit as I have written a short story here.
Thanks
Shawn

Open the OVP and resolder the joints inside. Vibration causes the joints to crack, especially the larger ones.
