I found this awesome book at Barnes and Nobel last week.
this thing weighs like ten pounds! its mostly pictures with a 4-6 paragraph review of each car. it has their first cars up to 1997 tons of excellent pictures including engines.(the engines in some of these older Merc's look really cool!) an excellent book for any Mercedes enthusiast!

There's a great site called http://www.bookfinder.com where you can get just about ANY book in mint condition, secondhand, at big discounts. It's a used book search engine, and it also finds the cheapest price for any new book.

this book is hard to find but worth the while. i never knew thier were so many tuners for benzes!!

I have the first book you mentioned and it really is a grat book. The earlier version printed was in the form of 2 books (pre war and post war cars) and included a case for both books. This is the version I have. If memory serves me correctly I paid about double the price mentioned above. Everyone should have this book. I didn't know such nice examples of some of these cars even existed!
