W126 Dash Removal
Has there been a thread on this in the past? I did some searching under a few different keywords with some leads on wood trim and such, but no luck. If someone knows of one, can you post a link?
There's an 84 300SD in the junkyard I've been thinking about pulling the dash and console from for my 83. I may practice on taking my 83's dash out first tomorrow morning before I head out to the yard since I do not want to have to make a return trip home for any needed tools I forgot to bring. If I end up doing mine first, I'll be sure to take pictures and post for the DIY pages. I'd just like to know screw/bolt locations before I start... thanks :) |
I haven't had a chance to go pull mine yet, but I did manage to get a score on the replacement one. $20(!) for both the dash and center console, although theyre grey and I need brown. A little dye should fix that. The dash is black on top and will be left that way, only one small crack near the left speaker cover. amazing.
