remote central locking
 

Hi All, I have a 1996 c250td. The central locking is not working through the key fob or by using the key itself. The central locking does work through the button on the dash so rules out the motor. I have replaced the batteries in the remote control and still no joy. It does however work intermittently for a couple of days then goes off again for weeks at a time. This also controls the factory fitted alarm. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

i'd start by checking the fuse for the central locking system
