HELP!! MAY DAY!! NEED ASSISTANCE RIGHT NOW!!!! Signal light lost!

Well, I was surprised this morning when I went to drop off some folding chairs....

My signals did not work at all, nothing,... no lighting up at all...

When I arrived at the destination, I saw something very weird...

My passenger side clear corner with amber stripe was GONE!

Yeah, so the black plug is missing... all that is left is 3 wires with metal connectors on them.... bulb and buld holder gone too...!

Question:
How can I rig it so the other three signal lights will work?

I know that the brown wire is ground but....

HELP!!!! My car is too unsafe to use unless I can get something working!

your car is too unsafe without turn signals? What country are you from? In the US I'd bet 50% of drivers don't even know their car is equipped with turn signals - they sure don't use them very often.

Go to a Car parts store and buy a bulb holder that has three wires.

Buy the appropriate bulb that fits the above. (Amber would be nice)

Duct tape the bulb/holder assembly to your fender.

Connect the wires.

Drive home carefully.

Take a rest.

Enjoy your day off.

Look forward to another car project this coming week.

The aftermarket clear corners have a friendly tendency to fly off randomly. The spring clip is nowhere near as sturdy as the Bosch / Hella corner lights. Usually it's the passenger side that flies off, and I have no idea why.

Imagine people in Ford F-250s to Toyota Sequioas... not using signals and weaving in and out of their lane...

People who wear cowboy hats and drive sedans are known as "rejected cowboys"....

To be a cool cowboy, you must drive a truck, even if you live in an apartment in the middle of Dallas....

But DAMN, some of these Texan girls are hot! (Becoming more rare since Texas is basically the most fat state...)

Sigh... is Georgia any better?

Aye, but this is not an aftermarket clear corner, it is the 94 - 95 Mercedes E320/E420/E500 Bosch part.... clear, but with the orange stripe on the side...

but it is my fault since I still installed it despite the broken clip it had.....

In the meantime, hand signals are still a legal means of traversing the highways and byways . . . assmuming the folks behind you remember what they mean.

If you are going to do that again do what I did, I drilled a hole in what was left of the plastic connector and used a tie wrap to tie it the fender. Its held my euro corner in for the last year after I broke the connector trying to take it out one day :)

Bad design regardless of wether its aftermarket or OEM its just a bad cheap design :(
