Vacuum Hose From Fuel Pressure Reg, To ?

Does anyone know where the line goes to, Or is there not one on the fuel pressure regulator. My car wont start. One day it ran like it was on 4 cylinders. And the next morning would not start. It would backfire once or twice. Checked all wires good spark, Since than replaced water pump. I know the timing is probably off now, Question is: Does the fuel pressure regulator have a vacuum hose and where would it go? I bought the MB CD and can't find it. Thanks for the Help in advance.

try the search function to see some photos. This is not a vacuum line. It is a plastic tube going to the breather hose on the air box.The one between the air box and the valve cover. It is there to vent fumes in the event of the FPR diaphragm failure.
In my opinion the absence of this vent line will have no bearing on starting the car.

Thank you. I thought it went there. I was told different. The car back fires trying to start. Timing off?

I took the pick up sensor off when I replaced the water pump. Out it back on. There is not much to it. Align directly over fly wheel sensor.

Originally. The car motor was washed  After that the car ran very rough 3-4 cylinders it seemed like. I put it in garage and did the water pump. Three weeks later tried to start. And that when it back fires. Just once or twice. There is fresh fuel. There is a spark. I ovp breaker is good. The car ran great before I carefully washed the motor  :( So Maybe a vacuum hose was knocked off. I have looked everywhere to find nothing. My diagram from the MB CD is vague for hose lay out. Where would I go from here, besides to the bar.

Not sure about your problem- but again a comment. The fact that the OVP fuse is good, is no indication that in fact the OVP itself is good. Confusing, I know . Again you will find procedures to check it - in the archives.
Good Luck
