I've Done That More Then Once

Get a shop with a "black light" to test:
they put a chemical in the lube and then after it has had time to reach the leak, it will show up as a bright spot when the black light hits it.
Which of the several Chevy Novas do you have? One of the late '60s and early '70s rear drive cars or one of the Toyota-with-Chevy-labels midgets from the '80s? |
When you have the pan off make sure you put the pan on a hard surface and tap the bolt holes back down to level with the pan. If you look real close you will see where the bolts go through the pan into the tranny they will raise on the tranny side when they are torqued down.
