Fahrenheit to Celsius A/C Display

Does anyone know/remember how to change the temp reading on the A/C control unit of a 1996 C280 or similar from Fahrenheit to Celsius? I'm almost positive it can be done and I've done it but can't remember how to do it. I've searched the posts but can't find it.

To change the temp display from F to C or back the version code must be changed!

In doing a search, I recall a post (that didn't go into the details) that this can be done on the a/c console. Do you recall how?

I got the fax. Thank you! However, I played around with changing the codes and I continued to get F. What code should I change it to? Coincidentally, I played around on a 94 c280 with different codes and was able to change between F and C.

Also, what does changing the codes do to the operation of the car, if anything?

Thanks again.
