All you have to do is take the cat and your car to an exhaust shop and they can weld it on. Theres really no special kind of cat that you have to buy other than size wise. Im not sure what you will need. Maybe 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" inlet/outlet diameter. If you want to add a little performance....you can also buy a universal high flow cat. I just bought one and im waiting to recieve it.

Theres really no point of buying a $500-$600 cat IMHO, when a universal one for alot less will last just as long if not longer. Its not my money tho.

Connect a vacuum gauge to intake manifold vacuum, take the car for a drive, and observe the gauge readings when you go W.O.T.
Your gauge should be reading very close to 0 vacuum.
If the reading climbs while you're still accelerating, there is an exhaust restriction.
Nonsense. How could an exhaust restriction cause an increase in manifold vacuum at WOT?

If I had the tools I'd try it. Every muffler shop I've visited, and there have only been 3, but they’ve all done a major hack job. Pipe rattles against the frame, half-assed welds broke. Ugh. Not for me. But again it would be an excellent value if done properly. Thanks for this note! I will have a shop try it on the jeep when the time comes.
