Need Timing Chain Tool M103????

I put on the timing chain and need to clamp down the chain and make sure it is secured properly. Any help with this would be great. If someone in the Philadelphia area has one and I could borrow it for 5 minutes that would be a lifesaver. Let me know thanks

I have successfully put together a number of MB chains without the use of the fancy special tool.

Put the chain together with the master link joining at the very top so you can access it. Put the link through from the rear going forward. Take the plate and feel it with your fingers to determine the sharp side. It is sharp from the stamping process. Put the plate in place with the smooth side forward so that the pins are peened around the smooth side, not the sharp side. Place a body dolly behind the master link and hold firmly. If you don't have a body dolly a large hammer will do, but hold it by the head, not the handle. Then using the ball side of a ball peen hammer, peen the ends of the chain down evenly all around.

Good luck,
