PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum - 93 300e 3.2 new plugs and a few more projects

Well, I put some new plugs in. Picked them up at my MB dealer for a little over 2 bucks each. The connectors are on the way and should be here early next week. I put the new plugs in and it didn't do much as far as curing my hard start and rough idle problem (I'm thinking the new connectors might help this though). The OVP is good. My tranny is surging a good bit between 1-2 2-3 shifts so I figure there's probably a vacuum leak somewhere in there that could be contributing to my other issues. I'll be checking that later on.
The old plugs were sooty, but I didn't notice any arcing or oil. But they needed to be replaced regardless. The wiring harness toward the back near where the plugs are is starting to go so I'm going to have to replace that shortly as well.
Any input would be welcome, perhaps I'm wrong about a vacuum leak causing some starting/idle issues. The only concern I have with the leak is that the brakes are pretty good and the engine shuts right down. I checked the tranny fluid and it was fine so I figured the leak check was next and then a fluid/filter change.
I'm also going to put on some Kumho 758 tires early next week to take care of some wheel shake at highway speeds (the tires are slightly feathered on the outside so the toe alignment might need adjustment and the tires are getting low on tread anyway). The motor mounts will also get done. And the shocks inspected.
From there, I'm not sure if I'll replace the dist cap/rotor and put new wires on.

If I'm missing something, let me know. Anything that will save me time or money as far as curing my idle/start issues would be appreciated. Thanks.
