W126 w/ASR rear brake calipers

Ok, I've spent an hour researching this here with no luck... if anyone can help, please do.

I ordered a pair of rear brake calipers from Phil for my '91 420SEL. It has ASR, so I was aware that it incorporates the pad wear sensors. I specified this to Phil and he sent me the stuff. When I got the calipers (pre-loaded rebuilds) it appeared they would not accomodate the sensors. I wrote to Phil about it and he responded that he was not aware of a special rear caliper for ASR equipped models.

I decided to do the brake job today, and indeed, found that the rear calipers on my 420SEL are different than the ones Phil sent me. I looked on the Fast Lane website and don't see any calipers listed specifically for ASR vehicles, although they do have brake pads for them.

My existing rear calipers appear to have a fixed flange built onto them to accomodate the brake sensors. Doesn't look like there is any way to take it off and attach it to the new caliper.

For anyone who knows what I'm talking about, what am I missing??

Thanks

I come up with 126-420-11-83 & 126-420-12-83 as caliper numbers for ASR equipped W126 chassis cars!

ARE you willing to pay $$$ extra for the wear sensor???

MB shows a list of $290 for the 126-420-12-83 (rt side) &

$380 for the 126-420-11-83!!!

No, I really don't care about the wear-sensors on the rear brakes. But I'm tired of staring at that little yellow warning light on the dash board every time I press on my brake pedal. There is a wire that attaches to the sensor plug-ins on the right rear caliper and it disappears up into the auto body. I'm not sure where it goes. Is there some way of disabling this system? Thanks.

ON that car & most MB's upto 2000 the sensor only creates a ground signal to the cluster bulb. JUST unplug sensor(s) untill the lamp doesn't come on!
