How to do B1 piston adjustment on 722.3?
I get the gist of how the B1 should be fitted for adjustment if you have the "special tool" - Is that just a cover with a through hole and M8 nut welded to it? But then what is meant by "screw in until resistance is just felt" and then 2 turns to 1 Nm of torque - won't this torque vary by having 1 or 2 of the B1 return springs in there? Plus, the thrust pin on the B1 piston is spin riveted to the body - it doesn't look like that should be broken apart to add or remove shims. Maybe I was just tired last night, but this is still not clear to me. Can anyone here shed some light on this? Thanks! |
