1991 300E with 140,000 miles. Had shocks replaced last year. When the outside temperature is cold the car squeaks (mostly from rear suspension) over bumps. Any assistance would be appreciated along with if the remedy is DYI....thanks.

Zoni,
I have much older car ('85 300CD) and my squeaks are caused by rubber sub-frame bushings. I am going to change them soom. Shocks can also make noise but cold weather squeaks sure sounds like rubber. Ask your mechanic what rubber bushings might cause this on your car and replace them. Good luck, Nic |
