Electric Windows Quit, Just like that!! 380SL

 The electric windows on my 1983 380SL just quit. Fortunately they were in the up position when they decided to no longer work. First thing I checked was the fuse box in the passenger kick panel. (No cover, no fuse listing) No fuses are blown, pulled them and checked them all. There is no sound when pressing the switches on the console. And no indication of battery drain when these switches are pushed.
What could cause both windows to fail at the same time. Has anybody any experience with something like this. Might there be a relay or other fuses somewhere.

I have a Chiltons with wiring diagrams for this car EXCEPT for the window circuits :(

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Lee

There is a relay behind the glove compartment, but I can't say which one it is on your car.

Checking the ETM for the 380SL it is not very desciptive. BUT the schematic looks identical for the 560SL. All diagrams and wire color codes are the same. so lets asssume it is the same.
Above the fuse box is a relay area. The top silver cube is the over voltage protection relay. The next one down is the K4 window relay.
Now before you take off the kick panel to get to it. Check the voltage on Fuse #3 and Fuse #4. If no voltage then it is the relay. If you have voltage then it is downstream from the fuses box.
The schematic is attached also. I cut it in half so it can be read.
