You can test the injector by listening to it. Borrow or buy a mechanics stethescope and listen to each injector. If you have a silent or funny sounding injector swap it out. CIS injectors are a real crapshoot. Even new they have to be bench tested and verified.

Vibration at idle

Aus124,

I chased vibration at idle for two years before changing motor mounts. Just in case you have not heard this before ... check/change motor mounts. (It solved my problem).

Its seems like they are quite troublesome, I'll defenietly check them and see how they look

Just get one off Fastlane or eBay and swap it out. You'll be shocked.

As for the hunting idle, just clean the throttle position sensor. I think Duke gave me the suggestion about a year ago when I experienced the same thing. Spray some carb cleaner on it, then some WD40 and it will go away like magic.

These problems are common on the 300E. A few bucks for a motor mount or two (depending which side of the debate you're on) along with a few shots of carb cleaner and WD40 can practically give you a new car.
I have just tried the above but it was vibrating in all gears but each gear sort of had a different feel to it.

Where is the TPS located, is it the unit on the other side of the EHA??

aus124 - with much respect, don't worry about inspecting the engine mounts. Just change them --- cheap, and you can do in about two hours.

It TOTALLY solved my idling/vibration problem.

Trust these guys. 71Rcode
