How to replace oil cap gasket?

How would I go about getting at the gasket once I get the cap off? (without destroying it of course!) Thanks! It's a 98 CLK 320 112 engine. Thanks

use a sharp blade or pin to pry the gasket from the bottom of the oil filler cap.
