oil in coil....???
The oil started leaking out of my coil on my VW. Is it safe to drive like this? What purpose does the oil serve? cooling?
Are all 12 volt coils the same? Thanks, Paul

The oil is a coil winding coolant on the older coils .. usually the better coils , like Bosch, used this system.
Replace it. |

I would be suspicious that oil in old HV coils would be PCB's, used in this application due to the high insulation value.
