Yeah, OVP's are cheap, and the original OVP is a known bad part.
Arthur Dalton has posted the good part number and the bad part number numerous times.

Thanks, Paul. I'll try the OVP first. I assume if I buy a new one that it's a good one, not the faulty old one.

The good number is 000-540-67-45 but that doesn't mean it can't fail!!! I see these "improved" OVP's fail all the time. I even had one fail on my car. It caused an extremely intermittent crank/no-start condition.
