Blower Motors
Is it going to be hell or expenisive to find a blower motor for my grey market 1978 250?

You now have 3 threads running in the same forum on the same subject.

Gee....can you feel the love or what?
My other two post were based on different questions....Posting a NEW thread on a 'specific topic' seemed normal so that someone with experience could answer. I found after posting that thread that I have a Motor housing that is black PLASTIC with a white cage wheel so I'm in luck for a replacement. |
heater fan costs
I don't know about you'r model car.But for my 68' 115 220D,the fan motor is over $300.oo new.Good thing I was able to pick up the same model of 71' at the same time for $100.oo without a title as a parts car.The 68's fan is siezed, while the 71's works just fine.I'll probably take the fan motor from the 68' apart and see if it can be repaired at a local alt/starter repair shop.

Howdy Rick and Connie! :)
I took the blower assy out tonight and I got all excited when I saw that some kind of plastic part cover was wedged in the cage (n thinking that was it ) but after spinning it I can see that the upper baring is loose. RATS! hmmmm....I wonder if that baring can be replaced?? On the flip side.... there is a Mercedes/German Auto junk yard in my area that wants me to bring the blower motor down tomorrow ... said they should be able to replace it....COOL! |
