Original retail for my benz???

Id like to know how much my benz retailed for. My friends keep asking me. Its a 1983 300D-T. It has the following which may or may not have been options:
Sunroof
Cruise
Rear defogger
M-BTex interior
Metallic paint
I saw an ad for the same model but 1985 stating it was $31,000 when new. Can any one tell me the approx. list my car would have been? Thanks!
Brett

Justin, do you know what the charge is for that service? I would be interested in obtaining a copy of my original window sticker, unless it is absurdly expensive to do so.

As far as I know it is free. Do a search on "window sticker", that should give you more answers.

mine was same

When I registered my 1985 300D the person at the Secretary of States office looked in the book and said that my car was $32,000 at time of retail. So you're in the ballpark.

Mercedes-Benz USA will send you a copy of the original window sticker for free if you send them a letter with the VIN#.

When I bought my car two and a half years ago, it still had the original window sticker in the glove box, along with the original bill of sale and other reciepts. Total original cost for my 1986 420SEL was $76,630 Canadian, without any tax.
