high mount stop lamp bulb
 

it appears that the high mounted stop light bulb in my 1994 c280 has burned out and the local parts place doesnt seem to carry that bulb. is there a good place to get one cheap? I cannot seem to find it on fastlane.

The replacement lamp is likely an Osram Sylvania 7506. Pep Boys in the Northeast U.S. carries them for a reasonable price. Of course, the local MB dealer will have whatever you need. Be sure to use Osram Sylvania replacement lamps ... the wattage is critical to proper operation of the electrical system.

called to pepboys and they say this is not a typical bulb and they do not stock it.

That's odd. I recently bought Osram Sylvania 7506 replacement lamps in a 2-pack at Pep Boys.

according to the Osram Sylvania web site that bulb (for the brake light) is not a 7506 it is a 64115.

Apparently the C-Class cars use a different high mount brake lamp than the older E-Class cars (1995 and older).

Dealer will have it.
