It's probably something like CAM2 Racing fuel... it's leaded and has an octane of around 106 - 108 I beleive. However, why somebody would wnat to use this stuff at like $6 / gal is beyond me!! The reason I know about it is because my '74 Corvette uses it.

Guys,
You misunderstand me guys, i didn't meant super fuel, like it is used in racing, I meant the normal fuel (leaded fuel) So to make things more clear, I would like to repeat my thread again: -------------- Guys, my car is designed for unleaded fuel, and I would like to use leaded fuel. so what should i do, i heard from technitions, that I should remove a filter built on the tailpipe. And replace some electronic plugs for un-leaded to leaded fuel plugs. But I'm still suspecious. Any comments!! |

Shadi,
It would help tremendously if you told us what year and model car you have. |

Might help to know where you are as well. Especially since in the US there has been NO leaded fuel for at least a decade, and the UK is soon to be dropping it as well (I believe). Going from leaded to unleaded is no problem since MB has used hardened valve seats for a very long time.

Shadi, why switch to an inferior fuel? There are many disadvantages to leaded fuel like hazards to your health, spark plug and engine life. Lead was never required in gasoline in the first place. It was just one big conspiracy. Have a read through http://past.thenation.com/cgi-bin/framizer.cgi?url=http://past.thenation.com/issue/000320/0320kitman.shtml if you are interested.

Ok backmercedes,
They have advised me with the following, I should remove something on the tailpipe. and I should replace two plugs on the engine electric circuit. Is that true!!! Shadi |

They told me that, if you used the leaded fuel, the tailpipe will be totally closed and will harmly effect the enigne. So they want to remove the tailpipe and put another.
I think they mentioned something about filter, and they will calibrate how much Octane is going out the tailpipe. And there are two plugs that should be replaced I saw a number on them like 35 or something, and the plugs that are on my car and should be replaced, they have green writting on them with different numbers. They said, they would like to replace those green ones with another ones, just to make engine know the leaded fuel or something like that. |

JS,
what is the best Octane perectage that should be measured from the tailpipe. Is it 0.8% or less or more. I have E200 1992. And can this percentage affect the car gazoline consumption. |

JS,
They have a Sun device, which measures how much CO is going out of the tailpipe, they told the good percentage is 0.7% |
