'95 e320 senken-heben knob?

when I worked on the antenna unit near left rear inner fender I found a mounted box with a white knob marked with arrows showing "senken" in one direction and "heben" in the other.
anyone know what this does?
Jack

Babel fish says that senken is lower and heben is lift.

If that helps.

Cheers

I suspect that it's the manual control for the sunroof.

It wouldn't be typical in German to use those verbs for the sunroof, unless there's a unit specifically for a vent/close movement. Manual box for the antenna itself?

I understand that the 95 W140s use the motorized antenna only for the phone. The motorized antenna doesn't rise when you turn on the radio. There are antennas in front and rear glass for the radio. In case that's what you're trying to fix.

Also, the tiltable sunroof might use the terms raise and lower.

The antenna on my 95 E320 goes up/down with the radio on/off.

its not the antenna. I fixed the antenna and it goes up/down correcsponding with power on/off of the radio.
the knob I was referring to is mounted a little forward of the antenna unit. in fact, there is a small (3"x5" ) flap in the trunk liner with a latch on it to allow access to this knob.
