P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
My car is a 1996 C280 with 117K miles on it. Recently I have been getting a Cylinder 2 Misfire. I just replaced all 3 spark plugs but from my understanding Cylinder 2 uses a coil pack. How hard is that to change and should this be my first route or should I try something else.
Unrelated Stuff: Had a freon leak which has been fixed Water pump was replaced about 3 months ago THANKS |
Well, you have got the job 1/2 done .. now go change the other 3 plugs..
Then change the plug connector boots under each coil and you should be all set.. |
i was under the impression that the 96 c280 only has 3 spark plugs. if it has 3 more then where are they located. sorry to sound dumb but i am a novice
|
They are under the coils .. just pull the coils straight up..
You are a novice so we can beat you up...then when you know , you can beat up the next guy.. |
Found some good instructions in case anyone else is interested:

Good "How To Do "article , but it does not adress the important part for your skip code.
.and that is , on 104 waste spark ignitions, use ONLY Bosch F8DC4 Copper plugs and change the 3 plug connectors under the coils .both common 104 misfire code remedies. Do a serch on 103 plugs .. plenty of testimony in the archiebes. |
