power windows and sunroof won't go up!!!

I am concerned that i am having electrical problems in my 91 300e. i know my car has a feature for when you forget to roll up a window or close the sunroof, that when you lock it and hold the key in the lock position it will roll up. this feature on my car used to work perfectly but when i did it today nonthing. the windows work fine when the car is running. what could possibly be the problem?

thanks in advance

have you checked fuses

Periodically, I encounter similar with my 99 and 2000 E320s. Mine operates
on IR...for what that's worth. But what I did was to disconnec the main
battery for few minutes and then reattaching. Most of the memory appliances
and features were reset to factory default and some thing which were not
working well, simply reset and I would set myself, such as seat position,
mirror positions, roof, windows....etc Don't know if it will work successfully
in your situation - may be something to consider.

weird??

Now it works. i started the car with the valet key :bulb: and did everything i did before but with the valet key and now it works fine. weird.

The valet key has nothing to do with that problem. THERE is a computer under the drivers side REAR seat that controls window/sunroof operation! THAT is the part that causes those problems!

problem may be fuse related...

i forgot to mention that one of my fuses had come loose and was fliped backwards. maybey that was the problem? dont really know. didnt try again till later.

thanks for all the imput. i will definetly look at the computer modulator
