Do the fluid change by the dealer and proceed from there.

(and it does not help to push the topic to the top every day)

Mem, had a similar problem once. 85 500 SEL with alot more miles. Fluid and filter change did wonders even though I had to "baby" her afterwards. Don't wait until irreversible damage is done. 135.00 or so with an idependant is much more cost effective than 3,000.

its been parked, i just ordered a transmission filter and gasket. do you now how much fluid it takes and is there a special fluid that is needed beside just atf???

i listed the car for sell with the transmission problem, but no luck. i think the car just needs some T.L.C.

i can do with out this car thats why i've had it parked, but im getting tiredd of seeing a nice car parked in the backyard.

Arrow

I'm sorry to say that u must fix the transmission itself. I faced such problem and nothing fix it but the over-whole of the transmission. Here it in Kuwait costs arround 350$ and a full day work.

Tip: Never let anyone drives urown car.
All the best.
