I have a 1998 ML320 with 82000 miles on it and suddenly the ETS light is on. It drives fine but won't shift to low range. Looking for suggestions to a quick and "cheap self fix". I just fixed center console switch problems myself. Wondering if this may have created the ETS warning? Should I drive it? I am trying to stay out of the dealership as I have spent a jillion dollars on maintenance out of warranty. Suggestions?
