CAN YOU TELL ME IF I CAN PUT A HIGH PERFORMANCE COIL LIKE A ACEL OR CRAIN COIL WITHOUT DOING INY HARM TO MY 83 380SEC

You may want to check out the SEC newsgroup at mbcoupes.com. There is sure to be someone there that can answer this question. Most likely from personal experience.

Accel Supercoil

Had an Accel coil on a 5.0 Ford, no noticable improvement
on performance, and the flat upper surface of the coil
would collect dirt & crud, and during wet conditions
it would cause misfiring. I would stick with OEM parts
unless radical modifications have been made.
