Need advice on suspension sound

I have a 82 300sd when i hit a bump, turn the tires or break i hear a banging sound on the right front side of the car, it sounds like the tire is hitting the wheel well or something. Any ideas on what it could be?

Is it a continuous sound or a once only sort of noise when it happens?

Have you jacked it up and attempted to reproduce it by manipulating the wheel or playing with a crowbar on the control arm and associated components while checking for free play?

Where on the Island are you?anywhere near the North Shore?

it's not continous, only if i hit a bump i'll hear the noise or break then start going again, yes i'm close to the north shore, I live in Nassau.

I took the wheel off on friday but didn't play around with anything, i just looked at it..... sorry i'm not much of a mechanic, i was just looking to see if something was stuck.
