Greetings :)

Very cool site.

I'm seeking the procedures for replacing the transmission & oil cooler lines on an '88 300e. Both lines seem to be leaking where the hose connects to the metal fittings. I have looked at the archives and found some helpful hints. I have the 124 service manual library, but it only gives a diagram of the location of the lines. Any special tools required?

You will not need specail tools. You will need a 17mm and a 19mm open end wrench.

All you do is swap the parts and then top off the fluid. The proper level is 10mm below the bottom line on the dipstick in park on a level surface when cold.
