1977 300 D Door Lock
 

Ok now I need help! I am trying to remove the left front door lock. I have it loose in the door, but I can not seem to turn it the right way to get it to drop down to the opening in the door to get it out! I checked on Braingears in the manual, and it just says to slide it down and out. I dont think so,I even renamed it, and it still would not " slide out " what am I missing?
