Blower Motor W124
Hey all my blower motor is starting to get pretty loud and sound like it may be going bad. How do I get to this crazy thing? Any tips or tricks I can use!!

I made some notes on how to replace the blower motor on my 1993 300E2.8, they were posted here.
I still have my old blower motor - while it still spins, it's on it's way out but the squirrel cages are in good shape. If anyone wants it then make me an offer. |
A little searching will uncover a pictorial thread from about three years ago that is EXCELLENT. I can't remember the posters name, but he was from Oklahoma and had a moniker that was first name/last name or maybe first name/last initial. His first name started with a J. It will definitely be worth searching for.
Before buying a new motor, however, you should dig your way down to the blower motor and give it a spin to see if one of the fans has slipped on the shaft to a point of making contact with the housing. Best of luck, |
