'96 E300 buckin' and stumpted?

I have a '96 E300 with 60K, she starts to buck at about 2000/2500 rmps, only when warmed up. Idles fine, accelerates fine, but after about 10-20 miles, starts to buck (like miss). this started in July, I changed main fuel filter and it seemed to stop until last week...then it started again.... have changed all filters...no code shown on computer hook up??? Noticed when I changed fuel filter the inner gasket from filter was frayed and some small rubber shavings were loose around filter bolt...so if some rubber particles have make their way to the injectors etc., why doesn't it miss all the time? It only starts to miss or buck when you're keeping a steady rmp,,,,,at about 55 to 65 mph...bucks till you give it the accelerator, then stops for a while, then starts again, then stops, etc..... driving me nuts....help..

I forgot to ask...diesel ?

If so............
Missing/displaced o-ring about 1 inch
in diameter around the the top of the pre-filter. This o-ring
does not come with the filter. It must be ordered.
The problem is, you cannot tell that it needs to
be there.

Check for miss adjusted throttle linkage.

Remove the runner accross the top of the engine and clean the
throttle body and the 2 switchover valves. One on the
buttom of the runner and one is on the intake manifold.

'k ?
